So it was my friends wedding recently and she means enough to me that I chose not to take the big camera.
Plus besides that the photographer the couple hired is a friend of mine also so I thought it would be a bit mean to step on his toes.
So the plan was to just enjoy the day for the happy couple but anyone who knows me knows that I have a drive to shoot so I decided to squeeze off a few shots with the iPhone.
The first shot was a bit of a tester to see what sort of crop I could get using the camera pro app or more importantly how much zoom I could get away with and the answer was a decent amount considering the end use was going to be for Facebook and web.
This shot I decided to pull back to take full advantage of the iPhones 8mp so everything was as crisp as possible but looking back it appears the focus point moved which is a shame but the shot still works for me.
The wedding continued and I kept shooting like a snap happy tourist until the event was over then it was outside for shots.
Now rather cheeky I had told the bride I would be grabbing her for some facebook shots so she was prepared when I grabbed the happy couple and started to pose them in a doorway.
As always the images were edited in the filter storm app as its the closest thing I have to photoshop on the phone.
Overall I’m happy with the results but it is a little worrying as well in that whilst you have advantages that you have with a big camera.
shots that you can achieve with the iPhone mean that you really have to step up your game now to stand out from the crowd… Challenge accepted
